Build a Career with Purpose.
Every child deserves to feel safe, cared for, and valued, especially during a family crisis. At the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, Child Specialists are often the caring adults who provide comfort, stability, and reassurance when children need it most.
As a member of the Nursery's Respite Team, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children from birth through age 12. Child Specialists provide compassionate physical, social, and emotional care while helping children feel secure during their stay at the Nursery. Team members lead structured activities and playgroups, maintain daily routines, support children's developmental needs, and help create a clean, welcoming environment where children can thrive.
Beyond caring for children, Child Specialists are part of a mission-driven team that supports families through difficult circumstances. As a trusted presence for both children and parents, Child Specialists help provide crisis support and connect families with resources that strengthen stability and well-being.
